On the HP Pavilion 15 and HP Pavilion x360 laptops, each generation has brought with it notable improvements in resolution, color accuracy and power efficiency. The latest models incorporate Full HD IPS screens with better brightness, lower consumption and much higher image quality than just a few years ago.
In our Technical Service, screen breaks represent one of the most frequent faults in this range. Impact cracks, internal pressure stains, backlight failures or permanent vertical lines are the most common symptoms. In the Pavilion x360 models, it is also common to encounter problems related to the tactile function after bumps or intensive use.
From a technological point of view, the Pavilion range has evolved from basic TN panels to IPS screens that offer wide viewing angles, more accurate colors and better behavior in environments with ambient light. In the Pavilion x360, a capacitive tactile layer is added inintegrated directly into the panel, which allows for a thinner design, better tactile response and greater image clarity by reducing internal reflections.
In addition, in the most recent versions improvements have been introduced such as more effective anti-reflective treatments, panels with higher brightness and, in some models, compatibility with digital pens, thus expanding the possibilities of use in both productivity and entertainment.
As for the protective glass, HP uses high-resistance synthetic materials across the entire range, especially in convertible models. These materials, similar to Gorilla Glass in tactile equipment, are designed to withstand scratches and small impacts without affecting visual quality or tactile sensitivity. Still, as with any laptop, a strong impact may require a complete screen replacement.
